Jack’s Story in the Media – First Ever World Charity Award Honouree
Jack’s work with talking to schools about winning his battle with leukemia was the inspiration for the World Charity Award Program. Jack’s treatments involved over nine charities – Ronald McDonald House, Canadian Cancer Society, POGO, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Make A Wish Foundation, 1-800-2-DONATE Blood, Terry Fox Foundation and numerous SickKids Charities.

James Brooks, founder of ApeAware, and his 1000classrooms Project
The 1000 Classrooms Project hopes to get 1,000 Western classrooms to each donate $3 to buy a dozen eggs for Children at the Kahuzi-Biega Environmental school in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was started by 11 year old James Brooks of London, Ontario in cooperation with the Canadian Ape Alliance. The "Eggs for Kids" program ensures that each child and teach at the school is given 1 egg per day. |
