Gord Martineau of Citytv was honoured at Gretzky's for his lifetime achievements in aiding charities

Gord has traveled to various countries to help children get life saving surgeries which are unavailable in their homeland through Operation Herbie and the Herbie Fund. Gord is also active with Sick Kids, Variety Club, MS and many more organizations.

   

James Brooks, founder of ApeAware, and his 1000classrooms Project

The 1000 Classrooms Project hopes to get 1,000 Western classrooms to each donate $3 to buy a dozen eggs for Children at the Kahuzi-Biega Environmental school in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was started by 11 year old James Brooks of London, Ontario in cooperation with the Canadian Ape Alliance. The "Eggs for Kids" program ensures that each child and teach at the school is given 1 egg per day.

This event has raised over one million dollars for the Sick Kids Foundation in just a few short years.

Jim Hawkins, Edgar Lalonde, and Trish Clarke lead the Harley's and More Toy Ride

Each year in Port Hope, Ontario, over 80 Harley Motorcycles and a variety of other bikes embark on a one-hour ride each year to raise money and toys for children in the Northumberland and Durham area.
